Sheila is an independent contractor with her current key role as Executive Director of Coast Waste Management Association in British Columbia where she builds and facilitates forums for leaders in the solid waste management industry to share knowledge and work towards practical, long-term solutions. This great role is just one of many contracts over her 25 years as an interim executive for operations, strategy, marketing, and research projects across North America. She has proudly contributed to the success of well over 100 organizations in array of sectors including leading or working with many non-profits and associations across Canada. Born with the entrepreneurial genes, Sheila was a partner in a venture team that grew and sold three private technology firms — including one bought by Microsoft. She has built and sold three businesses: an online almanac for event planners and organizers; a marketing talent brokerage firm; and a boxing fitness centre. Sheila holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree with Distinction from the University of Manitoba, a Diploma in Creative Communications from RRC Polytech, and was inducted as a lifetime member to Beta Gamma Sigma the international business honour society.
